Well, if you’ve read any of my blogs you already know I’m dealing with a pain-in-the-ass disease called FMS for short. All I can say is… for me it’s getting harder the older I get and every additional Winter I go through. I thought it’s not supposed to get worse? I guess all those darn car accidents I’ve had over the years and other injuries are now piling up on each other and magnifying the disease, and my body just keeps screaming in pain.
I’m most recently dealing with issues of severe muscle spasms at night, hip pain when lying on my sides, hand and finger pain and very swollen joints in my knuckles. It’s like I’ve suddenly got arthritis attacking my fingers, can’t get my rings off, even the ones that usually fall off in the cold! My Rheumatologist will only see me once every year and a half for follow-ups and if I want new drugs I have to see the Psychotherapist. He doesn’t believe in prescribing pain meds, he wants you to do moderate excersize and stretching and to modify your lifestyle, so what good is he really? I have the most stress-free life right now, I should not be feeling this bad!
So I ask, what the hell is going on?….is this what I have to look forward to entering my 40′s next year?….I hate getting older if I can’t get better! Anyone out there experienced Fibromyalgia worsening over the years, please write me a comment…I’d love to hear what you have to say! Thanks……
